Do you have a personal blog or business blog and you’d like to be a part of a unified conversation on the web? It doesn’t matter how small or large your readership is because it’s all about mass participation. You’ll have a chance to do just that on October 15th, 2009 by participating in
Blog Action Day.
Blog Action Day is “an annual event that unites the world’s bloggers in posting about the same issue on the same day. Our aim is to raise awareness and trigger a global discussion.” This year, the discussion will be about global warming which already has over 1500 blogs in 94 countries with a total of almost 8 million readers already a part of it. Bloggers from around the world will be instigating conversations with an aim to focus on the issue and provide an avenue for ideas, solutions, and unity among the blogging community. The beauty about this is that no matter what industry you’re in, you can get involved in the discussion about global warming from your point of you. Being in the travel and tourism industry, we’ll cater our conversation around this area with hopes to propel some conversation in to the web. If you’re not sure what you’d write about, you can visit their website for some topic ideas.
If you or your comapny would like to be invloved, please visit Blog Action Day to sign up and be a part of something special. Other bloggers signed up include: Google, Mashable, WWF, Amnesty International, Care among others. By doing so on the same day, the blogging community effectively changes the conversation on the web and focuses audiences around the globe on that issue. So join us and thousands of other bloggers in planting the seeds of positive conversations and change, one blog at a time.
